Nature, duties and powers of the Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation

The Ministry of Communications and Digital Transformation, created by Presidential Decree no. 01/2025 of 16 January, has emerged as a fundamental pillar for the modernisation and efficiency of public policies on information and communication technologies and recently, by Presidential Decree no. 9/2025 of 6 February, it has been defined as a central body of the state apparatus that controls, monitors and evaluates the implementation of public policies in the field of communications, science and innovation, information and communication technologies and meteorology.
